Active International was proud to support WPP Media at Battersea Park, London, as their team took part in Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life.

Supporting WPP Media on the day

At the London event, our part was a simple one. The event shirts carried the Active International logo, worn right across the course, and we hosted the post-race food and drinks once everyone was over the line.

Well done to Jane Putley, our Commercial Partnerships Director, who organised our involvement and ran a solid 5k herself.

“The team were proud to wear our shirts with the Active logo, and it was brilliant to see a sea of them around the course.”

A great evening for a fantastic cause

For us, evenings like this are a reminder that good relationships are not built in meeting rooms.

Cameron Swan, Chief Growth Officer International at AMS Growth Partner, summed it up after a shift on the bar: a lovely bunch at the drinks and plenty of great chats, even if a few of the team were still catching their breath.

As Kieron Murphy, our Chief Revenue Officer, put it, there was lots of positive feedback internally on what a fantastic event it was, with real congratulations to Emma and the team for pulling it together for such an important cause.

A huge thank you to Kate Rowlinson, Miles Gamble, Kelly Parker, Emma Dibben, Jonathan Masterson, Victoria Appleby, Rebecca Cox, Fleur Stoppani, Craig Smith and everyone at WPP and WPP Media for letting us be part of your day.

What a great evening for a fantastic cause. See you all next year.
